Romantic crossroads indeed. That clip was absolutely beautiful, and captures much of the spirit of the city. Hustle and bustle, beauty and diversity, a mixing and melting. We're in Greece now, where the is also much beauty and good flavor, but the culture is not nearly as open as Istanbul.

I would be more than happy to volunteer anything that I can bring to the table for Project Help in 2010. Keep me posted.

cheers for the words forest, good to hear from you. the book is great isn't it but tough to get through some nights. hard to imagine that kind of suffering as reality. these kids deserve so much more than the start they've been given.

we're thinking about expanding Project HELP 2010 this next year to enlist the talents of a wider audience so keep in touch.

how's turkey + eastern euro? seen this - http://www.ersineser.us/. istanbul looks like one helluva romantic crossroads. your take?

This is incredibly important work. It's great to see you reaching out to share your talents and bring to light some of these powerful stories. Every bit of awareness raised makes a difference.

I read child soldier Ishmael Beah's "A long way gone" (http://www.alongwaygone.com/) earlier this year. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't come across it yet.
